In memory of Albert "Bud" Scheirer

Albert Scheirer, WWII veteran, engineer, sax player,

This tribute is to my uncle, a lifelong smoker who still managed to play a wailing sax even after losing a lung to cancer.

ABOUT A Life Remembered: In Tribute

We honor those we’ve lost to lung cancer by raising funds for lung cancer research. It is through innovative and groundbreaking research that we can dramatically improve the survivorship of lung cancer patients. Because life should take your breath away. Not lung cancer.

"When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.”  - Unknown

LCFA's mission is the dramatic improvement in survivorship of lung cancer patients through the funding of transformative science, with the ultimate goal of curing the disease. To accomplish this, LCFA will work to raise both the funds and the national profile of lung cancer in order to substantially increase support of innovative and groundbreaking research efforts.
